Psychostimulants were used early on
Charles Bradley, MD administered amphetamine sulphate in 1937
Clinicians and researchers looked for causes and clear definitions
- "EEG abnormalities in these children primarily in terms of slowing“

By the 1970's it became clear that there were at least four categories being folded into MBD; Attention disorders, hyperkinetic disorders, LD and conduct disorders.
